Congrats to all of you!
First and foremost, I would like to give you all a GJ on todays half-win against 5.o. For those of you who weren't there, it was quite a feeling. It was almost a feeling of surprise. But all in all it was a good match. We lost horribly the first round but came back with a win the second round. Well, down to business.
We will not, I repeat,
We will not be posting the scrim SS on MG.
Why you may ask? Well for one, it was only a scrim. Meaning, it was only a practice. And mainly, it would be quite unsportmanlike for us to do so. When Schmiggs asked us to be their scrim buddies, it was in good faith. He assured us that noone from 5.o will be posting any SS of any scrim we would be having with them. So in return, for courtesy and common kindness, that we too, refrain from posting it ourselves. BUT, if it were a real match, haha, game on! post away! =)

We will be having role calls a couple days before every match and scrim, just to get a heads up to see who is really interested in competing. There is no pressure. Each member of EASY has the right and priveledge to decide his or her own involvement in the team. In plain english, don't say you'll do something unless you're really sure you will!!!

SO for all of you who were not able to make it. Here's a little something to look at. And think! It may be you on this list next time=)

CALL TO ARMS!!!

Greetings fellow EASY bretheren. As most of you know, I've been out of commision thes past couple months due to a chaotic school schedule and other things in life. I have heard that most of you have had the same problem. This is understandable, all of us have lives outside of DOD, which I am glad, and sometimes things get a bit busy. But as for me, the chaos has subsided, and I'm on spring break, which means, back to active duty for me! For the rest of you, I feel your pain.

On the other hand...EASY has been going through difficult times lately. Greatly due to lack of participation in pracitecs and CAL matches. It's noone's fault really. But just a combination of factors, availability and communication. There first one we cannot avoid. That is life. But as for communication, there are many thing we can do.
1. Whenever you're online, turn on your AIM, chances are someone else is on AIM from EASY and you can find out what's immediatley going on.
2. Check and POST on the forums regularily, just as much as you do on MG=)
3. Feel free to ask anyone for help, on any matter, game related or not.
Maybe by doing this we will have a better way to stay on the same page.

On a more serious note. As some of you already heard, we lost our most recent match by forfeit due to lack of players. We have roughly about 24 members yet we can't get 6 people together for a match. I guess what I'm asking is...I know all of you are busy, but please make an effort to at least tell us how involved you want to be. EASY has no limitations. Every member chooses their own involvement and responsibility. So please let me know personally...(akoni86@hotmail.com) how much you want to be involved or if there are anythings you want to contribute (skill, craftt, or job) to the team.
All we need is a strong solid 7-8 member team to play. I fear that if we have one more forfeit we may be DQed from CAL.

On a lighter side, I am proud of all you for many things but one thing in particular. And that's how you carry yourselves and represent EASY in the DOD community. Believe it or not, EASY has a certain respect in the MG community. And it's due to the fact that we show what we stand for on our sleaves. And I think that's what everyone admires. This is actually my dream of EASY to begin with. As much as I wanted to be the best team out there, I wanted to be the most respected. It takes a lot of character for a team to be respected like us with a losing record. From the beginnning of EASY, I wanted to be different from all those other clans, the 5.0s and d7s out there. They we're all about "WE OWN this, WE OWN that!". To me that isnt important. Its about the fun we have when we play with someone we get along with. Its about respecting the person you were killing. and vice versa. And giving them a "Nice shot!" i return.
Like I mentioned...the first members of EASY aside from my family (club, cran) we're actually all my enemies. They would be the guys I'd always have a sniper fight or duel with. In the beginning, we we're almost an anti-clan. We stood for something different. If you haven't noticed I rarely refer to us as a clan, but more of a team of freinds.

The reason why I'm going on and on about this is because I just want all of you to know this or at least remember this. Especially to you newer guys who I have never spoken to one on one basis. We stand for Honor (we are never rude, and we have a certain respectable quality), Modesty (not the "we're the shiz" mentality), Brotherhood (the bond of friendship we gain), and lastly Fun (the reason why we started to play DOD in the first place.

I personally ask all of you to take a second to think about why you started to play DOD and why you fell in love with it...and after awhile, and your trigger finger starts to itch, turn on ur computer, load up ur AIM, IRC, or forums...and find an EASY brother or two, and start the playing!!!

This is Rick Hunter, your humble CO signing off.

Last day of February!!!
Happy Anniversary guys!
EASY's almost two months old!!!

Good Morn All! It's Rick once again. Unfortunately, we weren't able to pull off a win yesterday BUT it was quite a battle especially the 2nd round. We must remember one thing when it comes to these matches. Whether we win or lose we still gain something in the end. And that's experience. We know more about whats working and whats not when it comes to our gameplay. All in all, as always, I am very proud of all of you. Slowly but surely, we are coming together. GJ guys! Some good news, please welcome Cpl.B to EASY...he's another {2/3} bro. So let's give em a big WAAAAAASSSSSSUUUUUUUUPPPP!

Some points of order:
- Those of you have not given me ur member info please email it to me ASAP or at the very least login and post in the forums. One more thing, What other things do you want to know about eachother besides the info already shown in our members forum.
- ||EASY|| 3Miles DoD 2.0 is OUR server!!! So get in there and mix it up! Check in once in awhile to see whos hanging out. I'd love to have it as a public server, with all of us with reserved spots...but alas, it costs too much...and we're getting the server at a bargain as it is. I will be changing the password for the server shortly. The IP address is new. So please update so you can see where it is=) I've appointed most of EASY command with admin rights. After long hours, EASY server is fully operational. Check out the new kool stuph...If u get bored, try saying "I feel lucky".
- Hetz has divided the active EASY CALers (easy members actively competing in CAL matches) into 4 squads. It will be posted on the forums shortly, if not check ur email. With 3 members to each squad.
- We will be meeting Friday evening for practice and strat planning. Please make it if you can.

More too come...Rick out.

What a way to start off CAL?!?!?!

Guys, I'd like to congratulate you all on a good job. Yeah sure, we didnt win. But we did what we were supposed to do. We worked together. We made a few mistakes, but all in all, it was worth it. d7 is one of the better DoD clans out there, and we held our ground. It wasn't a rout, but an actual competition. I'm not going to make up any excuses, we all know where we have to improve and hopefully we come away with a better sense of brotherhood. We've gone through our first battle...and we made it out, maybe a little frazzled or bit beaten, but we did it together. Which is far more than I can say for other clans out there who dont work together. Let's take what we've learned from this and prepare for our next match.

In other news, I need everyone who is interested in designing the site. Hetz, 9, Chris...I know you guys mentioned that you have some ideas. I have enough to purchase the domain. So, yeah, the faster we get that up, the easier itll be to stay organized. And plus, anything beats this crap of a "website" i did=)

In short, I am now more than ever proud to be in the same team with all of you. I'm especially happy with how you guys handled yourselves today. Real sportsman and ready to fight! We're a family guys, let's not take that for granted. Hunter out.

Boy! Are we Lucky?!

Rick Here. First of all, I would like to apogize again for being MIA these passed couple of days. As most of you know, I'm still a humble college student with a super duper full load of 21 units. And I've had quite a busy weekend. I'm VERY proud of you all, especially to my XOs. You guys are doing a great job holding things together. I am especially proud of all of you have been making practices and stepping up to ur duties.

You may be asking yourself, "Lucky?! Lucky how?". Well. it's this simple. It may seem like bad luck for us to be facing D7 our first match out, but the way I see it, we were going to face one of our own MG brothers someday, and it might as well be now. Let's show em what's EASY all about. Whether we win or lose, let's let everyone know that we're fair and respectable. On the other hand let's not kid ourselves...this will be a tough match. So we will really need to come together with our teamwork and communication.

In other news, Let's all welcome back Ravage who's been on leave for the passed few months. It's great to have her back. Also, Cammie has joined our ranks...and she's kickin butt. She really knows how to use that KAR! We got the two toughest girls in the MG community!!!

Also...our bros, Endo and Enzo are gone. ENzo is now Screaming Eagle. ENdo is now Arete. Maybe this'll make it a bit easier to tell them apart...lol!

Well, that is all for now...Hunter out.

Wednesday, February 13, 2002

Good morning all! Rick here...Wow the family keeps on growing...as most of you know, the guys of BRO have joined EASY. Let's all make them feel welcomed as they join our family.
NEWS of the DAY:
Please check the forums at least daily. In preparation for CAL, we need everyone to choose and decide what will be their primary weapon choice and role for the team. Hetz and 9 will be organizing EASY into two platoons with about 7-8 members each. Within those platoons we will split into squads. i.e. assault team, support, etc.
The battlefield ranking structure has been finally created. And I will post that up shortly. These ranks are for the command structure during match play. These ranks are based on a number of things: seniority, skill, leadership talent, and most importantly...active involvement. I'm sorry recruits, you guys are gonna have to start off as privates. But no worries, the promotions will come.

Well that's all for now guys...oh yeah, there's a guy named RedNova out there..if u see him, watch if hes EASY potential. He's trying out=)
Again...let's all make the rookies all feel welcome...We gotta come up with some initiations...lol
Ok..Rick out.
